She gives him a bemused smile, at least showing she's not terribly offended. "A bit of dry humor on my part." Not that she could blame him. Presented the opportunity, she might have spied as well. It was the best way to get answers. "How much were you able to hear?" That would at least give her an idea on what he knew about her. Wishing for protection was not terribly remarkable, but she preferred to remain an enigma, keeping her fears to herself.
